I have been a Certified Humanist Celebrant since January, 2001. I perform baby namings, funeral or memorial ceremonies, divorce celebrations and other life passages. However, I specialize in WEDDING CEREMONIES.
If you are a Humanist, agnostic, atheist or other non-theistic couple, I would be delighted to perform your wedding or commitment ceremony. I will work with you in designing a warm and meaningful non-religious ceremony tailored to your wishes. I have sample ceremonies, or we can work together if you would like to write your own vows. I am located in the Phoenix area, but will travel to other parts of Arizona. My fees are reasonable (with additional charges for travel).
I have been president of the Humanist Society of Greater Phoenix (www.hsgp.org) since 1999. I've also been a member of the American Humanist Association since 1989. Prior to moving to Arizona in 1994, I worked in Los Angeles in the motion picture and television industry. In fact, I learned about Humanism from my mentor, the late Gene Roddenberry, creator of Star Trek, with whom I worked for 17 years.
